The Men’s Ministry at First Pres exists to encourage, disciple, and raise up leaders in the church. We do this by building community, supporting one another, and providing opportunities for spiritual growth and leadership development.

We host men’s events periodically throughout the year. One favorite event is the annual Men’s National Championship Tailgate where men and boys of all ages gather for food, tailgate games, and to watch the National Championship football game.

The systematic study of the Word of God is necessary, foundational, and central for every believer.

Bible Study: We offer men’s Bible studies throughout the school year. You can see a list of current studies here, and you are welcome to join at any time.

Leadership Development: In his pastoral epistle, the Apostle Paul reminds Timothy that if someone aspires to be a church leader, he desires an honorable position. We offer programs throughout the year for men who are interested in considering how God might be preparing them to labor and serve  in his church.

We want to be a community shaped by grace that provides safe places for men to share their lives, share their struggles, grieve losses, or heal from traumatizing situations in their lives. We have trained shepherds to come alongside our members. We also have small groups called G3 groups to address specific issues and needs. One group specifically for men is the Samson Society Men’s Groups, “a company of Christian men, whose purpose is to assist one another in our common journey.”
