Even in our current mostly-online environment, we want to offer you opportunities to know more about First Presbyterian in the ways you feel most comfortable receiving it. If you are visiting us online for worship, please fill out this Welcome Card so we can say, “Hello!” and answer any questions you may have. If you have been visiting us in person and haven’t had a chance to meet one our our Welcome Team members, please visit the Welcome Cart in the Plaza so we can help you connect on campus.
First Impressions Meet & Greet
First Impressions is an informal meet and greet generally hosted on the first Sunday of each month from 9:30–9:50 a.m. This is a simple drop-in where we offer light refreshments and a warm hello. Feel free to come alone or with the entire family. Join us in the Sanctuary Garden to the left of the sanctuary after the 8:30 a.m. service.
Connecting @ First
Connecting @ First Classes are available the second Sunday of every other month from 9:45–10:45 a.m. Are you looking to learn more about First Pres? How do you find a Sunday School class, a Bible study group, or events that interest you? This adult class was designed to communicate the mission and and core values as well as provide a place where our guests and members can learn how to get involved in the life of the church. This class also provides a short guide to finding information you need on our website and mobile app. Join us in Room 114 on either September 27 or November 8. Feel free to let us know you are coming by clicking here or just drop in!
This class begins on Sunday, October 11, and runs for six consecutive Sundays. This class is designed for those interested in becoming members of First Presbyterian Church. The class provides in depth information about First Presbyterian Church and answers questions about what it means to be a believer in Christ, what it means to be a member of the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA), and what it means to be a member of First Presbyterian Church. Participants will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about First Pres and membership. The class explores spiritual gifting and how members can use their gifts to become involved in the many ministry opportunities available through First Pres both locally and around the world.
Adult Sunday School communities provide opportunities for Christian growth and fellowship. During COVID-19, several of our classes are meeting virtually, and some are staying in contact by other virtual means. Contact class leaders through the link below to find out how you can connect. By offering a wide variety of classes we hope to provide a solid, biblical education so that each participant has an opportunity to grow in his or her understanding of the Bible’s content and implications. In addition to the teaching, there is a time of fellowship that provides opportunities to connect with existing friends and to meet new ones. If you are new to the church you are welcome to attend any of these classes to find the best fit for you. Learn more about our Sunday School classes.
