LESLEY HAMM, DISCIPLESHIP COORDINATOR

We are pleased to announce that Lesley Hamm has accepted the position of Discipleship Coordinator at First Presbyterian Church. She will be working closely with Emily Freeman and John Barrett providing administrative support and leadership to the Discipleship Ministry. In particular, Lesley will be implementing improvements to our assimilation process, organizing and overseeing the Inquirers classes, planning Discipleship Ministry events, assisting with the planning and resourcing of Sunday School classes, coordinating small groups, and providing administrative support and organization for training events.

Lesley says she wants to take many of the administrative burdens off of John, Emily and others so they can better serve in ministry. 

“I especially want to help the church with discipleship by making it an easy transition from visitor, and encouraging members and visitors alike to feel connected relationally and grow spiritually,” Lesley said.

Lesley and her husband, Wes, have been members of the church since January of 2006, and they are the parents of three children: Garrett, Chloe and Claire. Lesley attended Georgia College and State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in History and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration.
