Partnership Development Projects will take place throughout the week of February 28 – March 3. Listed below are the Ministry Partners that we will be working with.

Wednesday, February 29 and Thursday, March 1, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Choose one day or both days)
· Replace a sink and add a new vanity and faucet. (Plumbing skills needed.)
· Paint parenting rooms and administrative offices. (Painting skills helpful)
· Take a load of trash to the dump. (Truck needed)
· Fill bags for expectant moms with paperwork.
· Put baskets put together for new moms with baby items provided by CPC.
· Basic cleaning, which will include: vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen, dusting, cleaning inside of windows, etc.
Child Evangelism Fellowship

Friday, March 2, 6 – 8 p.m.
Volunteers will learn how to share the gospel with urban children through the arts, i.e., face painting, and making gospel bracelets.
Saturday, March 3, 1 – 3 p.m.
Volunteers will host children at the East Augusta commons or River Glenn community center to share the gospel, and for face painting and other activities.
Christ Community Health Services

Project: Medical Campus Outreach will provide volunteers for landscaping, putting siding on the rear cottages, and other projects.

Reading to Students: Ten people needed to read books to three classes from 9 – 10 a.m. Teachers will have books but volunteers can bring their own Dr. Seuss books if they want.
Saturday, March 3 – meet at 8:55 in front of Craig Houghton
Outside Project: Work from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. alongside student council students (about 10 kids) and teachers, putting out mulch and planting flowers in front of school. Please take shovels, rakes, other gardening tools, mulch and flowers. Approximately 10 people needed.

Hope for Augusta (New Town Community Children’s Bible Study)

Thursday, March 1, 5:45 p.m.
Project participants will have an opportunity to learn about the HFA ministry and receive training in how to relate to inner city children on the issues they struggle with. After the training, the group will interact with inner city kids on the play group and in small groups, and later serve the kids food and then sit down with them and talk about what they learned. After the project, the team will come back together to talk about what they learned and how they could help sustain this project.

Hope for Augusta (Reaching Higher Tutoring Program)

Project: Open to all; after-school tutoring ministry project at Oak Pointe Community Center, 730 East Boundary, Augusta, GA 30901; 10-15 people are needed for each day
Monday, February 27 and Wednesday, February 29 (Choose one or both days)
4 p.m. Volunteers will learn about the mission, vision and goals of after-school tutoring and the importance of connecting education, tutoring relationships and the future. An experienced tutor will share a testimony of the successes and challenges of tutoring with Hope for Augusta.
4:45 p.m. Travel to Oak Pointe Community Center, arriving by 4:45. Volunteers will see and hear how tutoring program works as Stephen Pittman explains the normal schedule for a tutoring session and volunteers see tutoring in action
5 p.m. Volunteers will interact with children by playing educational games or helping with an art project.
5:40 Volunteers will provide feedback and will be challenged to think of three ways to help sustain and improve after-school tutoring.
